Protouch Staffing is seeking a skilled Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Hays, Kansas. Join an acute care team providing intermediate-level care while earning competitive weekly compensation and gaining valuable travel nursing experience.
Assignment Highlights
Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Stepdown, Intermediate Care
Location: Hays, Kansas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: November 30, 2026
Shift: Days, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Schedule: Four 12-hour shifts per week
Weekly Hours: 48
Weekend Requirement: Weekend rotation
Floating: Within scope to meet facility needs
Scheduling: Block scheduling is not available for more than 3 to 4 shifts
Scrubs: Any color
Charting: Meditech experience required
Parking: Free
Weekly Compensation
Gross Weekly Compensation: $3,165
Taxable Weekly Wages: $1,898
Potential Non-Taxable Weekly Stipends: $1,267
Compensation is based on the scheduled 48-hour workweek and individual stipend eligibility.
Experience & Requirements
Required
Active Kansas RN license; pending licenses are not accepted
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
At least 1 year of nursing experience
IV start experience
Previous Meditech experience
Ability to provide progressive care nursing within the appropriate scope
Additional Details
First-time travelers are welcome
Nurse-to-patient ratios are typically 1:4 to 1:5
Any requested time off must be approved and documented before the assignment begins
Candidates residing within a 60-mile radius are subject to the local candidate rule

149 staffed beds
PCU nurse-to-patient ratios of approximately 1:4 to 1:5
Floating may be required within the nurse's scope of practice
