Unit Name: Stroke & Brain
Requested Skill Set: Cardiac drips, telemetry, and neurology experience
Must have: NIHSS, Stroke experience, ACLS
Advanced skills needed: Cardiac drips, basic dysthymia
Procedures performed on unit: None specific
Certifications Required: NIHSS, ACLS, BLS
Unit Specifics:
- Number of Beds : 16
- Patient Ratios : 4:1
- Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : Tech
- Type of equipment : Welch Allyn VS Machines, Hoyer lift, Sarah Steady Lift, Telemetry, Bladder Scanner, Doppler
- Documentation system: Meditech
- Scheduling requirements: 3 shifts/week; 3-4 weekend shift
- Floating policy: agency and contract (where their contract allows) will be floated to any area where they have demonstrated competency
- Patient Experience requirements Telemetry, Stroke
