Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM with possibility to flex to days
• Every other weekend requirement
• 2 winter holidays required
• Standby possible if extra staff is available
• Patient ratios of 1:3-4 with nurse aide support at 1:10 ratio
• 24-bed PCU unit with 24/7 charge nurse and house supervisor support
• Float requirement within Region I facilities - additional $20/hour when floated outside primary facility
• First to float position
• Common diagnoses include pneumonia, ARDS, HTN urgency, angina, cardiac cath patients, and ETOH withdrawal
• Required to titrate drips including Amiodarone, Diltiazem, Dopamine, Nitroglycerin, Lasix, and Dobutamine
• RT equipment includes CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow oxygen
• Telemetry monitoring with remote monitor techs and RN approval
• Charting system: EPIC
• No scrub color or dress code requirement
• Free on-site parking available
• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• PCU experience required
• BSN not required
• Flexibility with schedule preferred
