Job description
TravSource is seeking a travel nurse RN Inpatient PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Salem, Virginia.

Must-Have Experience
✅ PCU (Progressive Care Unit) experience
✅ Knowledge of cardiac rhythms/telemetry interpretation
✅ Experience caring for surgical patients
✅ Chest tube management
✅ Epidural management
✅ Experience with cardiac drips (Nitroglycerin, Cardizem, Amiodarone preferred)
✅ Post-cardiac cath patients
✅ Post-op cardiac/open heart patients preferred
Required Certifications
✅ BLS
✅ ACLS
Unit Details
- 15-bed Progressive Care Unit
- Patient Ratio: 4-5:1
- EMR: Meditech
- 12-hour Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
- 36 Guaranteed Hours
- 13-Week Contract
- Every other weekend (or 4 weekend shifts per schedule)
Floating Requirements
Must be willing to float to:
- ICU (for PCU-level patients)
- Other PCU units
- Med-Surg units (up to 5 patients)

⭐ EP studies and device placement recovery
⭐ Groin management
⭐ PCA pumps
⭐ Team-oriented attitude
⭐ Strong time management skills in a high-turnover environment
