Key Responsibilities
- Provide PCU-level nursing care to a patient population ranging from adolescents to geriatrics on a Neuro/Stroke PCU floor with mixed medical, respiratory, and cardiac patients
- Perform independent vital sign checks and blood glucose checks as part of routine patient assessment
- Titrate cardiac drips and maintain continuous telemetry monitoring
- Utilize unit systems including Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR communication framework
- Float within the facility and within scope of practice as needed
- Adhere to holiday work expectations and all RTO policies established at time of submission
Required Qualifications
- Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience; first-time travelers are welcome to apply
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Local candidates are welcome and accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a Neuro/Stroke, cardiac, or respiratory progressive care setting
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and titrating cardiac drips
- Experience working in a high-census environment (unit operates with an average daily census of 30 across 36 beds)
