Requirements

• Active state nursing license required for submission.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Experience in PACU, Pre-op, Recovery, and/or GI Lab nursing preferred.
• Must be available to work every other weekend (EOW).
• Must be available to work 2 out of the 3 major holidays.
• Must be willing to participate in the call rotation.
• Must be proficient in patient monitoring and post-anesthesia recovery.
• Experience with Cerner electronic medical records preferred.

Responsibilities - Provide pre-operative assessments and prepare patients for scheduled procedures. - Monitor patients during post-anesthesia recovery and assess their vital signs and clinical status. - Care for patients recovering from anesthesia, including ICU patients recovering in the PACU. - Provide nursing care for patients undergoing procedures in the GI Lab. - Monitor patients for post-procedure complications and initiate appropriate interventions. - Administer medications and manage IV therapy as ordered. - Use Phillips telemetry monitoring to assess and monitor patients as needed. - Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe patient care. - Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in Cerner. - Participate in rotating call, weekend, and holiday schedules.
