Join a leading healthcare facility as a Travel RN in the PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit). This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while providing exceptional patient care. We are seeking dedicated and compassionate nurses to join our team for a 13-week contract.
Unit Information:
- Number of Beds: 10 bays
- Number of Staff: 13 RNs
- Patient Ratios: per CPAN Guidelines
- Type of Equipment: GE patient monitors, Stryker and Hillrom beds
- EMR: Expanse
Typical Procedures Performed:
- Pedi-adult cases from lumpectomies, tubes, and tonsils to open heart surgery, including trauma
Required Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in a hospital setting required
- Active NH license at submission
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- PACU and PACU pedi experience Level II or higher
Preferred Qualifications:
- ICU experience
- ER experience
- CPAN certification
Best Personality Fit:
- Upbeat, flexible, compassionate, patient-focused, team player, willing to help as needed
Call Requirements:
- 30-minute response time, dressed and ready to accept patients in the PACU
- Call frequency is once a week Monday through Thursday, one Friday every 5 weeks, and 2 24-hour weekend shifts in a 5-week schedule
The unit self-schedules with the nurse leader moving staff as needed to cover the unit, ensuring a supportive work environment.
