Job Summary
Clinical Nurse, Post Anesthesia Care Unit. The Clinical Nurse provides evidence-based, hands-on care while assessing patients, developing and implementing individualized care plans, evaluating outcomes, and coordinating care with patients, families, and the healthcare team. The role also includes patient education, safety monitoring, emergency response, professional development, and support of quality improvement activities.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shift, 10-hour shifts, 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications:
- Current California Registered Nurse license.
- Current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
- Additional Information:
- Provides family-centered care that supports patient recovery, comfort, education, and self-care.
- Performs comprehensive assessments, identifies nursing diagnoses, develops individualized care plans, implements interventions, and evaluates patient responses.
- Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to coordinate care and respond appropriately to changing clinical conditions.
- Activates emergency protocols when indicated and promotes patient and employee safety.
- Prioritizes care, delegates tasks appropriately, and seeks assistance as needed.
- Supports staff development through teaching, precepting, knowledge sharing, and participation in professional activities.
- Maintains current nursing knowledge and demonstrates leadership within the professional practice setting.
- Assignment dates are 12/06/2026 through 01/30/2027.
