Operating Room Nurse Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license and eligibility to practice in Colorado
- At least 1 year of professional nursing experience, including operating room experience
- Recent experience circulating orthopedic surgical cases
- Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing, surgical safety, infection prevention, and surgical counts
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, and the perioperative team
- Willingness to complete an on-site travel nursing assignment in Meeker, Colorado
Operating Room Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Circulate preoperative orthopedic cases and support safe, efficient surgical workflows
- Complete preoperative nursing assessments and verify patient identity, procedure, surgical site, and consent information
- Coordinate with the surgical team to maintain appropriate supplies, equipment, and operating room readiness
- Monitor patient safety throughout the perioperative process and promptly communicate changes in condition
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation and follow established policies for infection prevention and surgical counts
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary operating room team to deliver compassionate, high-quality patient care
