This opportunity welcomes first-time travelers and offers the chance to work in a 17-room OR department serving patients from pediatrics through geriatrics.
✨ Assignment Highlights
- 14-week travel assignment in Athens, Georgia
- Day shifts, 3×12 hours
- 2 years of relevant RN experience required
- Orthopedic, neuro, and vascular experience required
- First-time travelers accepted

- Epic and Pyxis experience preferred
🩺 Your Responsibilities
- Circulate during surgical procedures and support safe perioperative care.
- Assist with orthopedic, neurological, and vascular surgeries, including open and endovascular procedures.
- Monitor patients and perform conscious sedation monitoring within the appropriate scope of practice.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team.
- Maintain sterile technique, patient safety, and accurate clinical documentation.
- Support general OR operations and float within the facility and scope of practice as needed.
✅ Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience.
- Active RN license valid for practice in Georgia.
- Current BLS certification.
- Orthopedic and neurological surgical experience.
- Vascular experience, including open and endovascular procedures.
- Ability to circulate and perform conscious sedation monitoring.
⭐ Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS certification.
- Scrub and trauma experience.
- Experience with vascular procedures such as AAA repair, carotid endarterectomy, and endovascular aneurysm repair.
- Experience with spinal fusion, total joint replacement, and other complex orthopedic or neurological procedures.
- Epic and Pyxis experience.
📅 Schedule & Contract Requirements
- Schedule: Saturday, Sunday, plus one weekday.
- Weekend coverage: Every other weekend, with possible weekend call.
- Call: Approximately 6 call shifts in 6 weeks; requirements may vary by assigned shift.
- Floating: Required within the facility and scope of practice.
- Requested time off: Maximum of 7 days.
- Holiday coverage: Required according to the assignment period and facility policy.
- Orientation: Facility-specific non-billable orientation hours apply.
- Compliance: Must be fully compliant before the scheduled start date.
