Operating Room RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Georgia
• At least 2 years of recent Operating Room (OR) nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
• Demonstrated expertise with a variety of surgical specialties, including robotics, neurology, orthopedics, plastics, and gynecology
• Ability to work three 12-hour day shifts per week and meet holiday scheduling requirements

Perioperative Nursing Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care throughout the perioperative process
• Prepare operating rooms, surgical equipment, supplies, and patients for procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, surgical technologists, and the broader perioperative team
• Support a diverse surgical caseload, including robotic, neurological, orthopedic, plastic, and gynecologic procedures
• Maintain sterile technique and follow established infection prevention and patient safety standards
• Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes before, during, and after procedures
• Complete accurate clinical documentation and ensure appropriate specimen and equipment handling
• Work two major holidays among Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day, plus one minor holiday
