Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Operating Room, Jasper: The healthcare provider is seeking a skilled operating room nurse for day-shift responsibilities supporting inpatient and outpatient patients of all ages and specialties. The role involves circulating duties, perioperative assessment, critical thinking, and participation in call, weekend, and holiday coverage.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Associate degree or certificate; strong assessment and critical-thinking skills; ability to manage change effectively; operating room circulating experience and call experience preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Two years of circulating operating room nursing experience; previous travel experience; experience with Epic charting; proficiency with total joints, da Vinci procedures, urology, gynecology, spine procedures, and arthroscopy.
- Schedule: Day shifts are scheduled for 10 hours, with a minimum of 40 hours per week; preferred rotation is four 10-hour shifts from 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with occasional 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. starts.
- Call and Coverage: On-call coverage is required approximately eight times within a six-week period, with a 30-minute callback expectation. Weekend and holiday coverage is required as scheduled.
- Additional Information: The role supports six operating rooms with approximately 350400 cases per month. Patient populations include inpatient and outpatient patients of all ages and specialties. Charting experience is required, with training available. Scrubs are provided. The position supports circulating procedures involving total joints, da Vinci procedures, urology, gynecology, spine procedures, and arthroscopy.
