Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse Morristown/Goryeb. This position involves providing specialized perioperative nursing care in a surgical setting. The role requires assessing patients, supporting surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety, and completing accurate documentation to deliver high-quality care throughout the perioperative process.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: RN License, BLS Certification, ACLS Certification, Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Associates or Bachelor's Degree).
- Preferred Qualifications: CNOR Certification.
- Responsibilities: Demonstrates assessment skills, clinical skills, and knowledge of emergency equipment and procedures; maintains documentation; follows safety protocols including National Patient Safety Goals and Universal Protocol; individualizes patient care based on diagnoses and procedures; supports pre-operative and post-operative assessments and education; evaluates pre-admission testing orders; contributes to the perioperative team by prioritizing patient care and ensuring safety.
- Additional Information: Supports completion of patient testing in a timely manner; evaluates pre-admission testing orders for completeness based on surgery, patient age, and health status.
