Job Requirements
- Active California RN License required
- BLS Certification required
- ONS/ONCC Certification required
- Strong oncology nursing experience
- Recent/active chemotherapy administration experience
- Several years of oncology experience with chemotherapy administration
- Experience with complex chemotherapy regimens such as Cisplatin, FOLFOX, and FOLFIRI
- Strong vascular access skills: peripheral IVs, port access, PICC/Hickman maintenance
- Strong pharmacology knowledge
- Ability to recognize and manage hypersensitivity reactions
- Strong knowledge of laboratory values and their relationship to oncology treatments
- Experience with titratable infusions and blood transfusions
- Experience with IVIG, Rituximab, Remicade, Darzalex, and Ocrevus preferred
- Infusion experience with hydration, iron, albumin, Zometa/Reclast, Prolia, antibiotics, injections, and blood products
- Ability to provide inpatient chemotherapy when floating is required
- 2 supervisory references from within the last 12 months worked required at submission
- At least 1 reference must be from a Charge RN
- Willingness to work one weekend day every 4 weeks
- Willingness to float to inpatient units as needed
