Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit Trauma. This role provides care for adult patients in a Level I trauma intensive care unit. The position involves day shifts in a 14-room, 16-bed unit with a 1:2 patient ratio.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications; required experience with Epic charting; required travel experience; skills in BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, intracranial pressure monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, starting and maintaining intravenous lines, and ventilator management.
- Preferred Qualifications: Two years of experience preferred; previous charge experience; community hospital experience; Level I or Level II trauma experience; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications; Level I trauma experience; ventilator management.
- Schedule: Day shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week, 36 hours per week.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The role supports adult patients in a trauma intensive care unit with patient ratios of 1:2 across days, nights, and weekends. Interdisciplinary support includes intravenous therapy teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy.
