Shift: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, nights
📅 Schedule: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend (EOW)
⏰ Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours/week
💻 EMR: Epic
🏥 Facility Type: Busy Level I Trauma Center
👥 Patient Ratio: 1:5–6
🎓 BSN: Not required
Unit & Patient Population
- Surgical patient population with a focus on major abdominal surgeries, plastics, ENT, and orthopedics.
- Experience caring for patients following major abdominal procedures, including Whipple surgery.
- SICU patients may transfer to this unit after six days of SICU care, as described in the unit notes.
- Must be comfortable with cardiac drips and floating to other units as needed.
Requirements
- 3+ years of nursing experience preferred based on successful placements.
- Previous travel experience strongly preferred.
- Recent experience in a busy, high-acuity hospital preferred.
- Active license required at submission.
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
- Epic experience required.
Scheduling & Additional Information
- Every other weekend required.
- Flexible scheduling is essential; self-scheduling is not available.
- Must be willing to float as needed.
