Telemetry Registered Nurse Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Virginia
• At least 1 year of professional nursing experience, preferably in acute care or a medical telemetry setting
• Experience caring for adult medical patients and monitoring cardiac rhythms
• Strong patient assessment, prioritization, communication, and clinical documentation skills
• Ability to work 12-hour overnight shifts and maintain reliable attendance throughout the travel assignment
• Commitment to safe, compassionate, patient-centered nursing care

Travel Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on a medical telemetry unit
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, laboratory results, and changes in patient condition
• Complete patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Recognize and promptly escalate clinical changes or urgent patient needs
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing colleagues, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and support a safe, organized patient care environment
