Shift Notes
This position requires three 12-hour shifts with a 36-hour guarantee. There are no options for four 12-hour shifts.
Weekend Requirements
Every other weekend commitment is required.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse delivers quality nursing care by utilizing the nursing process. This role involves collaboration with members of the healthcare team to maintain professional nursing practice standards. Responsibilities include directing, coordinating, and delegating activities to foster patient and family-centered care.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Assess the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of patients.
- Plan and implement nursing care based on the needs of patients and their families.
- Make appropriate interventions based on individual patient needs.
- Evaluate patient responses to nursing interventions.
- Assume personal responsibility for providing quality patient care, enhancing patient satisfaction, and contributing to a professional environment.
Certification and Licensing Requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- An active Michigan nursing license is required at the time of submission.
Additional Information
- This position follows a clinical interview process with timely outreach and decision-making.
- A skills checklist must be completed within one year of application for RN specialties.
- McLaren Macomb has implemented a strict attendance policy that will be enforced starting February 28, 2024.
