Telemetry RN Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Virginia
- At least 1 year of recent registered nursing experience, preferably in telemetry or acute-care nursing
- Strong knowledge of cardiac monitoring, rhythm recognition, and clinical escalation
- Ability to provide safe, compassionate patient care during 12-hour night shifts
- Strong patient assessment, communication, organization, and teamwork skills
Telemetry Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to acute-care patients requiring continuous telemetry monitoring
- Assess patient conditions, identify changes in status, and communicate concerns promptly
- Interpret and respond appropriately to cardiac rhythms and monitored vital signs
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established orders and patient safety standards
- Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support individualized treatment plans
- Educate patients and families regarding care plans, medications, procedures, and discharge needs
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic clinical documentation
