Travel Nursing Job Details

Telemetry Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent hospital-based Telemetry RN experience
• Associate degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Active Kansas Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to successfully complete a dysrhythmia examination before submission
• Proficiency in interpreting telemetry strips, recognizing dysrhythmias, and managing cardiac drips
• Willingness to occasionally float to acute-care, medical-surgical, or overflow units based on patient-care needs

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to telemetry and medical-surgical patients during 12-hour night shifts
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize dysrhythmias, and promptly escalate changes in patient condition
• Administer and monitor cardiac drips and other prescribed therapies
• Complete focused assessments, medication administration, care planning, clinical documentation, and patient education
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to support positive patient outcomes
• Adapt to floating assignments while maintaining high standards of patient safety and clinical care
• Participate in required orientation and electronic health record training
