Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Tele
Shift Details
This position requires working a night shift of three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend, with potential adjustments based on departmental needs.
Role Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse will provide care to inpatient adults with actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions. Key responsibilities include:
- Administering vasoactive drug therapy and antiarrhythmic treatments
- Monitoring patients receiving thrombolytic therapy
- Performing defibrillation and cardioversion
- Conducting thoracentesis as needed
- Utilizing cardiac telemetry to monitor patient status
- Performing EKGs and non-invasive blood pressure monitoring
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of South Carolina
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with EPIC electronic health record system
- At least 2 years of experience in the field, though candidates with less experience may still be considered based on their qualifications
Note: Floating to other units or facilities may be required based on patient care needs.
