TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Concord, North Carolina.

Beds: 23
Avg Daily Census – 21 patients
Minimum Years of Experience required: 18 months Med/Tele experience
Will you accept a first-time traveler? Not preferred, will consider
Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (Resource Team requirement)
Technology/Equipment:
EMR: EPIC
IV Pumps: Alaris
Med Dispensing: Omnicell
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: Chest Pain, Rule out Stroke, Syncope, Dizziness, Respiratory Illness, a Variety of Diagnoses
Ratios: RN: 1:4-5
Skills required: General Med/Tele skillset: Stroke experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach care, PIV starts, chest tube management, NGT placement, drain/tube management (Dobhoff, PEG tubes, Hemovac, JP drains, flexiseals, foley insertion/management, etc), PCA pumps. Medication gtt management to include: Cardiac drips, Heparin, blood products, IVF
Floating:
Travel nurses will be first to float to other nursing units and provide flexible staffing support based on patient care needs and staffing demands. They will demonstrate adaptability and clinical flexibility when floating to other units. Will take patients within scope of practice on any unit (e.g. MedSurg assignment in ICU, MedSurg holds in ED, etc.)
Could float to any of the facilities within region if the need arises
If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock)
Scheduling:
Weekend rotation: every other
Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays
RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays – must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours
Shift times: 0650-1910; 1850-0710
Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks
