Facility: Ascension Columbia Saint Mary's Hospital Milwaukee
Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Medical-Surgical Telemetry Care
Setting: Acute Care
Job Overview
- Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of acute-care PCU or Med-Surg Telemetry experience.
- Travel Experience: Required.
- EMR: Epic experience required.
- Unit Placement: The traveler will be assigned to the unit with the greatest staffing need, either PCU or Med-Surg/Telemetry, based on their skills.
- Eligible Candidates: Medical-Surgical or Stepdown RNs may be considered.
- Credentialing: The same credentialing process applies to both skill sets. The RN Step Down (PCU) specialty exam and skills assessment must be completed.
Schedule
- Shift: Days, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM.
- Shift Length: Approximately 12.5 hours on site.
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (EOW).
- Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday (EOH).
- Guaranteed Hours: Not specified.
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of acute-care PCU or Med-Surg Telemetry experience.
- Travel nursing experience.
- Epic charting experience.
- Ability to work in either PCU or Med-Surg/Telemetry based on facility needs.
- Completion of the RN Step Down (PCU) specialty exam and skills assessment.
Floating Requirements
- Floating is required onsite within the traveler's skill set.
- The traveler may also be required to float to other sites within 40 miles.
