Job Summary
Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Floor Nurse in a healthcare facility located in Texas. This role involves providing specialized nursing care for patients recovering from stroke, orthopedic surgeries, brain injuries, and other debilitating conditions. The position requires collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans and ensure high standards of patient safety and dignity.
Job Details
- Shift: 3x12 Nights, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid license in the state of Texas, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification, NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification, and at least 2 years of experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in long-term acute care or medical-surgical rehabilitation units, trauma level II experience, and community hospital experience.
- Responsibilities: Managing patients with CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), orthopedic conditions, brain injuries, and requiring rehabilitative services; utilizing advanced rehabilitation technologies; participating in interdisciplinary team activities; documenting patient care accurately using systems such as Epic.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS.
- Schedule Details: Nights, 12-hour shifts, at least 36 hours weekly.
- Submission Requirements: Current license in Texas, certification copies, and confirmation of experience.
