RN – Behavioral Health (Inpatient Psych)
Job Details
- Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
- Weekend: Every other weekend / as needed
- Call: None
- Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:8; lower ratios for geriatric and pediatric units
- EHR: Cerner
- Floating: Required
- Scheduling: Block scheduling not available
- Orientation: Every other Tuesday
- Scrubs: Blue
Patient Population
- Adults
- Geriatric patients
- Pediatric patients, ages 5–17
Common diagnoses: Schizophrenia, depression, bipolar disorder, substance use disorder, and anxiety.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient psychiatric nursing experience.
- Previous behavioral health experience.
- Must be willing to work with both adult and pediatric patients.
- Graduate of an accredited BSN, ADN, or nursing diploma program.
- Current Massachusetts RN license.
Required Certifications
- BLS/BCLS — required.
- HWC — required by the facility posting.
- ACLS — preferred.
