Travel RN – Assessment Specialist / Behavioral Health Intake
Facility: Highland Springs
Shift: Nights | 3:00 PM–3:30 AM | Fri–Sun
Hours: 36/week
Contract: 13 weeks
Must Have
- OH RN license
- 1+ year RN experience
- BLS
- HWC
- Behavioral/Mental Health understanding
- Must recognize mental health as an illness
- Comfortable working with behavioral health patients
- Compassionate and proactive approach
Patient Population
- Adults ages 18–99
- 24-bed unit
- Ratio: 1:4
- Common diagnoses:
- Detox
- Depression
- Psychosis
Responsibilities
- Behavioral health intake/assessment
- Recognize and respond appropriately to mental health needs
- Work compassionately with patients
- Remain calm and professional with patient comments/behaviors
- Stay proactive during downtime
Schedule
- Friday–Sunday, 3:00 PM–3:30 AM
- Every other weekend/as needed
- No call
- Float as needed
Other Requirements
- Local candidates: Must live 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for travel rate
- Local rate: $72
- Scrubs: Navy blue or business casual
- No hoodies
