Submission Requirements
- Active Ohio (OH) RN License or Compact RN License required.
- Minimum 2 years of recent specialty experience required.
- BLS Certification required.

Unit Overview
5 South - Neurosurgery, General Surgery & Trauma Stepdown
Days, evenings, or nights
Patient Population
Elective neurosurgery, intracranial hemorrhage, DKA, altered mental status, sepsis, oncology patients, and trauma patients.
Patient Ratios
- Typical ratio: 5:1
Required Skills
Candidates should have experience with:
- NG tube placement and care
- Tube feedings and TPN
- BiPAP
- Airvo therapy
- Wound vac management
- Dressing changes
- Strong neurological assessments
- Management of drips including:
- Amiodarone
- Dobutamine
- Heparin
- Lasix
- Insulin
- Chest tube management
- Drain care
Technology & Equipment
- EMR: Cerner
- IV Pumps: Alaris
- Medication Dispensing: Omnicell
- Monitors: Philips
- Unit Equipment: Philips Telemetry, Dynamaps, Arjo Lifts
Floating
- Floating may occur to other units at the same level of care (PCU/Stepdown).
- Travelers will be notified at the beginning of the shift if floating is required.
