Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse position available in a hospital setting. The role involves coordinating comprehensive patient care for pre- and post-transplant and disease management patients, including patient medical management, pre-operative and post-operative assessments, and discharge planning. The position also encompasses providing educational programs related to transplantation and assisting with various clinical procedures. The schedule is during daytime hours, Monday through Friday, with eight-hour shifts, and a minimum of forty hours per week.
Job Details
- Schedule: Shift hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license, Bachelor's degree, Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and experience with EPIC Phoenix electronic medical record system. At least 2 years of clinical experience, outpatient experience in EPIC, and experience with transplant patient populations are required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cardiology, interpretation of laboratory results, medication reconciliation, EKG/ECG acquisition, vital signs measurement, and patient history assessments.
- Additional Information: Candidates must have uploaded Nursys verification within the last two weeks and hold applicable certifications with valid expiration dates. Two references obtained within the last year are required. The position involves interdisciplinary support from pharmacy and other clinical departments. All compliance-related documents must be submitted within 10 days prior to the start date.
