Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a 31-bed Cardiopulmonary Progressive Care Unit.
• Monitor patients with complex cardiac and cardiopulmonary conditions and respond promptly to changes in patient status.
• Administer and monitor prescribed medications and continuous IV drips.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation using Epic and follow facility policies and clinical protocols.
• Participate in floating assignments as required, including to other units and sister campuses.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Experience managing the following drips and medications:
  • Heparin
  • Amiodarone
  • Cardizem
  • Dobutamine
  • Dopamine
  • Insulin
  • Lasix
  • Other antiarrhythmic medications
• Epic EMR experience preferred.
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred.
• Degree accreditation verification must be included in the profile, or the candidate must have at least 5 years of experience.

Additional Requirements

• Floating is mandatory. Travelers are first to float and may be assigned to other units or sister campuses.
• Radius restriction: Candidates must reside within 50 miles of HPMC based on their permanent address.
• Time-off requests (RTO): All requested time off must be disclosed at submission. Requests will not be approved after submission.
• Submission requirements: The candidate profile must include complete demographic information, including address, email, full date of birth, full Social Security number, and RN license number. Incomplete profiles cannot be confirmed.
• Interview and Offer: HWL clinical interview and offer process.
