A step down unit nurse is needed at a healthcare facility in the area. This position involves providing professional nursing direct patient care in compliance with professional practice and unit standards. The role requires a collaborative approach with patients, families, and the care team to ensure quality healthcare delivery.
Job Details
- Position: Step Down Unit Nurse
- Schedule: Nights, 3 shifts per week of 12 hours each, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); at least 2 years of related experience; eligibility to work in the specified location; valid nursing license or license application; 1 year of experience minimum.
- Additional Responsibilities: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; document care according to standards; delegate tasks to the team members; participate in policy development and quality improvement initiatives; ensure safety and proper use of clinical equipment.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Other Requirements: Prior travel experience preferred but not mandatory; willingness to float as required; submit all necessary certifications and references; attach proof of licensure application if applicable.
