Job Summary
PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) Nurse Farmington, New Mexico. This position involves providing quality recovery care for adult patients, primarily following surgical procedures in a busy, Trauma Level III facility. The nurse will work in a fast-paced environment, supporting patients from various surgical specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, neuro, obstetrics/gynecology, urology, ENT, and robotics, with potential rotations to Pre-Operative and Endoscopy units.
Job Details
- Position: PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) RN
- Location: Farmington, New Mexico
- Shift: Days, 8:30 AM 6:30 PM, 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: RN degree, 3+ years of experience in PACU or recovery, BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications, located within a reasonable distance for scheduled shifts
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in trauma-level recovery, recovery for pediatric patients is a plus
- Additional Information: The role involves caring for adult patients with mid to high acuity in a Level III trauma center. The unit comprises 7 beds with patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2. Equipment includes Mindray monitors, and the electronic health record is Cerner. The candidate must have 3 years of relevant experience. The start date is projected for 11/16/2026, with a scheduled end date of 02/15/2027.
