PACU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing Contract in Zanesville, Ohio

Join our healthcare team as an experienced PACU and acute-care Travel Registered Nurse in Zanesville, Ohio. Provide observation, medical-surgical, and telemetry nursing care in an on-site travel nursing contract while enjoying southeastern Ohio’s scenic surroundings, historic character, and convenient access to outdoor recreation and regional attractions.

Travel Nurse Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800–$1,890
• Location: Zanesville, Ohio
• Position Type: Travel Registered Nurse contract

• Schedule: 36 hours per week; 12-hour day shifts, approximately 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Travel Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Ohio
• At least 3 years of current or recent telemetry and medical-surgical nursing experience
• Experience caring for observation patients and other acute-care populations
• Strong telemetry interpretation skills, including BCRA competency; telemetry skills may be assessed during orientation
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Current Epic EMR proficiency; candidates must be able to work independently in Epic without refresher training or one-on-one support
• Ability to float to medical-surgical units, including respiratory, stroke, and cardiac units, and to the Emergency Department when appropriately skilled
• Excellent clinical judgment, adaptability, communication, and teamwork

PACU and Acute-Care Nursing Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to patients in the observation unit and other assigned acute-care areas.
• Perform patient assessments, develop and implement nursing care plans, administer medications, and evaluate patient responses.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, recognize changes in patient condition, and promptly escalate clinical concerns.
• Float effectively to respiratory, stroke, cardiac, and other medical-surgical units based on department needs and demonstrated competency.
• Provide nursing care in the Emergency Department when appropriately trained and assigned.
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the Epic electronic medical record.
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support positive patient outcomes and efficient patient flow.
• Maintain compliance with clinical standards, patient safety practices, and unit procedures.
