Unit Information:
Beds:
15 Ors and a hybrid room (shared with Cath Lab)
Average of 45 cases/day between OR and CVOR
Minimum Years of Experience required? 2 years
Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance: RN: BLS, ACLS
Technology/Equipment:
EMR: Cerner
IV Pump: Alaris
Med dispensing: Omnicell
Monitors:
Unit specific equipment: Cell saver, Belmont rapid infuser, glucometer, Davinci robotics
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: Everything but transplants; General, GYN, Urology, ENT, Plastics, Podiatry, Ortho, Neuro, Vascular, Thoracic, Robotics (Davinci), Trauma
Patient Ratios: RN: 1:1
Skills required: Experience with cases listed above
Support within the Department:
Charge RN

PM: Charge, Staff RN, 2 Techs, 1 aide
Floating: If yes, where? No
Orientation (facility and unit):
NEO (SOAR)
How many days of unit orientation? First week paired with preceptor
RNs: OR orientation with Educator; orient with General, Ortho, Neuro
Scheduling:
Weekend rotation: Weekends required for needs posted as weekends
On call? 1 day a week (Monday-Friday); 1 weekend every 4 weeks (Saturday/Sunday)
Holiday Expectations: About 50%, could be more based on need
RTO to be approved by Manager in advance
Shift times: 0645 shift start time (8s, 10s, 12s); Mid shift 0900-1930; Nights 1830-0700
Schedule cycle: 4 week increments, receive 8 weeks at a time about 2 weeks in advance
