Operating Room (OR) Nurse in Kings County. This position involves delivering coordinated nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures, supervising and directing nursing staff, and collaborating with other disciplines to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes. The role offers a rotating shift schedule with a focus on professional and supervisory discretion to provide high-quality perioperative care.
Job Details
- Position Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for surgical patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of nursing staff, coordinating care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment.
- Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN), Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor, AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS certification, and AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification.
- Schedule: Rotating shift with 10-hour shifts, averaging 40 hours per week, from 11/23/2026 to 02/21/2027.
- Additional Information: Experience in an acute care facility is preferred. Must be comfortable with DaVinci surgical systems and available for one weekend call every 5-6 weeks.
