Operating Room (OR) RN – Seasonal Travel Contract
📍 Facility: HCA HealthONE Swedish
📌 Location: 501 E Hampden Ave, Englewood, CO 80113
🕐 Shift: Day shift, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
📅 Schedule: Saturday–Monday, plus one rotating weekday shift covering the third shift
⏰ Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
📆 Contract: 91 weeks listed — confirm the actual contract duration
👥 Patient Ratio: 1:1
💻 EMR: Meditech
🏥 Hospital Size: 408 beds
🛏️ OR Unit: 14 operating rooms, including 1 hybrid CV OR, 1 cystoscopy room, and 12 multipurpose ORs
Job Details
- Provide perioperative nursing care in a hospital operating room.
- Work with surgeons, anesthesia staff, surgical technologists, and other OR team members.
- Circulating and scrubbing experience is preferred.
- Common procedures include angioplasty, appendectomy, biopsies, and orthopedic/spine procedures.
- No transplant procedures.
- Standard OR equipment and Stryker video systems are used.
- The unit has approximately 60 FTEs.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of current hospital acute-care experience.
- BLS and ACLS listed as required/preferred in the posting; confirm whether both are mandatory.
- Meditech experience preferred.
- Strong communication, adaptability, and patient-focused care.
Call Requirements
- Two 12-hour call shifts per month.
- Three to four additional call shifts per month, from 5:00 PM–7:00 PM.
Additional Information - Seasonal travel assignment..
- Day shift staffing includes approximately 14–16 RNs and 14–16 surgical technologists.
- No transplant procedures are performed.
