POSITION OVERVIEW
Seeking experienced Operating Room Registered Nurses for a PRN assignment. This opportunity is ideal for nurses seeking flexible scheduling while maintaining a consistent weekly commitment.
Candidates must have previous OR experience and be able to provide their full availability each month. Nurses must be available to work at least one shift per week and be willing to pick up additional shifts as needed.
PRN SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum commitment of 1 shift per week.
- Candidates must be able to work more than one day per week when needed.
- Shifts are scheduled in advance, similar to travel assignments.
- Availability must be submitted every month.
- Thursday and Friday availability is highly preferred due to higher patient volumes.
- Weekend availability is a plus, as additional opportunities may become available.
- The facility may cancel scheduled shifts with at least 2 hours’ notice.
- PRN contracts are ongoing and reviewed every 4 weeks to confirm that the candidate is actively working and picking up shifts weekly.
- Floating may be required based on the nurse's scope of practice.
- On-call: Not required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required.
- Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room experience required.
- Active California RN license required. Expired licenses must be renewed before submission.
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Orthopedic cases.
- Joint replacement procedures.
- General surgery.
- Vascular surgery.
- Gynecological surgery.
- Robotic surgery.
- Neurological surgery.
PAY PACKAGE
- Regular Pay: $85.00/hour
- Overtime Pay: $127.50/hour, when applicable
- On-Call Pay: $0.00
- Stipends: None
- Gross Pay for One 8-Hour Shift: $680.00
Estimated Earnings Based on Shifts Worked:
- 1 shift (8 hours): $680 gross
- 2 shifts (16 hours): $1,360 gross
- 3 shifts (24 hours): $2,040 gross
- 4 shifts (32 hours): $2,720 gross
- 5 shifts (40 hours): $3,400 gross
