1. Shift & Schedule

• Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Oncology

2. Experience Requirements

• Oncology nursing experience or infusion nursing experience is required.
• New graduates: Not accepted.
• Experience in a treatment area is preferred.
• Experience accessing ports, starting IVs, and administering IV medications is helpful but not mandatory.

3. License & Certifications

• Active Kansas RN license or Compact RN license in hand at submission.
• Current BLS certification required and must be in hand.

4. Clinical Responsibilities & Skills

The nurse will work in an oncology treatment area. Relevant skills include:

• Providing care to oncology patients
• Administering infusion treatments and IV medications
• Accessing implanted ports
• Starting and managing IV lines
• Monitoring patients during treatment
• Recognizing and reporting adverse reactions
• Maintaining accurate patient documentation
• Following medication administration and patient safety protocols

Port access and IV skills are preferred rather than mandatory, according to the job description.

5. Health & Immunization Requirements

The following documentation is required:

• TB screening: Two-step TB test or blood test completed within the past 12 months.
• Hepatitis B: Immunization records or a qualifying titer completed within the past 12 months.
• Varicella: Immunization records or a qualifying titer completed within the past 12 months.
• MMR: Immunization records or a qualifying titer completed within the past 12 months.
• TDAP: Required.
