Discipline: Registered Nurse (RN)
Specialty: Labor & Delivery (L&D), Postpartum, and Level I Newborn Nursery
Department/Cost Center: 471466001 – OB/GYN Combined
Shift: Night Shift, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Duration: Confirm with recruiter
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Number of Openings: 1
Reason for Opening: Coverage for leave
Orientation: Weekly on Mondays
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
- Must be able to work independently as the primary L&D nurse on night shifts.
- Postpartum and Level I Newborn Nursery experience preferred.
- Must hold the required RN license to practice in Kentucky.
- Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify as a traveler.
- Must be willing to float to other units during high-volume periods or when L&D census is low.
Required Certifications
- BLS
- ACLS
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- STABLE
All required certifications must be current before starting.

- Patient Ratio: Per AWHONN staffing standards
- EHR: Meditech and Centricity
- Patient Population: Obstetric, gynecological, and newborn patients
- Weekend Requirement: 24 hours every other weekend/as needed
- Call Requirement: Rotating call during low census
- Scrubs: Any professional scrub color
- Supervisor: Melissa Cull
