Neuro ICU Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Overview
This position requires a dedicated registered nurse with expertise in Neuro ICU. The nurse will primarily work evening and night shifts, with the potential for 12-hour shifts and every other weekend. Holiday availability is also required as part of the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Intermediate Care Unit (IMC).
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Utilize Epic software for patient management and record-keeping.
Qualifications
- Valid RN license required.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications, accredited by AHA only.
- Previous experience in an ICU setting is mandatory.
- Experience with neurosurgery patients is preferred.
- Willingness to work with telemetry patients and pass a telemetry test prior to starting.
Shift and Scheduling
Shifts will primarily be evening/night, with 3x12 hour schedules available. Block scheduling is not utilized in this position.
