Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, adhering to safety protocols, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a variety of settings.
- Adhere to safety and quality standards during nursing procedures.
- Assist in the management of patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Participate in day one pass/fail testing.
- Float to various departments, including emergency department holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and other boarding units as required.
Work Schedule
This position entails 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. You will be required to work every other weekend, with shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for nights.
No vacation time will be approved during Christmas.
Requirements
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association).
- ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred.
- Ability to manage patient ratios of 1:3-5.
- Experience in a Level 1 trauma center is preferred; candidates without previous travel experience must have this requirement.
- Must be separated from previous employment for a minimum of 6 months to be considered for the position.
Additional Information
Weekly start dates are available, typically on Mondays. Floating to different units may occur in 4-hour blocks during shifts, although such instances are rare.
