Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Description
A reputable healthcare facility is seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse to join their team. This position requires a commitment to providing exceptional patient care and the ability to adapt to various clinical environments as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Medical/Surgical and Telemetry units.
- Float to designated units as necessary, including units J1-2, J33, and the Emergency Department, to care for similar patient populations.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor and interpret patient conditions, utilizing ECG rhythm recognition and safe medication practices.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with facility policies and regulations.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in Medical/Surgical Telemetry nursing.
- Possession of a valid Ohio nursing license or compact state license.
- Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
- Availability to work every other holiday.
Shift Information
This is a rotational position with shifts that may include nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) and days (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM). Shift variations may occur based on operational needs.
Additional Information
During the orientation period, travelers must complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and a safeMedicate assessment, achieving acceptable scores on both evaluations.
