We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care on a Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit while supporting daily operations and leading the team during primarily charge nurse shifts. Travel Nursing Job Details

• Position: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical Telemetry
• Location: Dover-Foxcroft, Maine 04426
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,040–$2,150
• Start Date: November 16, 2026
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks, ending February 13, 2027
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Unit: Medical-Surgical Telemetry
• Charting and Equipment: Cerner EMR and Pyxis
• Orientation: 1–2 shifts
• Dress Code: Any scrub color

Travel RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Maine
• At least 1 year of Registered Nurse experience; additional experience may be evaluated during the interview
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience and the ability to lead a shift required
• Medical-surgical nursing and telemetry nursing experience
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Experience in a critical access hospital setting preferred
• Ability to complete required onboarding and unit orientation

Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients during 12-hour night shifts
• Assess patients, monitor cardiac rhythms and clinical status, administer medications, and evaluate responses to treatment
• Coordinate care with providers and the interdisciplinary team to promote safe, effective patient outcomes
• Serve as charge nurse for most shifts, coordinating unit workflow and supporting clinical decision-making
• Delegate appropriately, provide guidance to team members, and help maintain safe staffing and patient care standards
• Document patient care accurately in Cerner and follow medication safety procedures using Pyxis
• Participate in handoffs, admissions, discharges, patient education, and care planning
• Adapt to unit needs, including potential floating as discussed during the interview process
