Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) Nurse in Iowa. This position involves providing care for a variety of medical surgical patients, including those requiring telemetry and cardiac monitoring, within a healthcare facility. The role requires adaptability and the ability to float across multiple campuses to meet patient needs.
Job Details
- Shift Time: Nights
- Shift Hours: 12 hours per shift
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
- Required Qualifications: Active Iowa or multistate license; BLS certification; 24 months of current medical surgical or medical surgical telemetry experience; proficiency in caring for all patient types; experience with Heparin; skills in telemetry/cardiac monitoring; experience with EPIC EMR; ability to work independently and as part of a team; must be at least 50 miles from the facility; scheduled orientation dates: 11/9, 11/23, 12/7; minimum of one travel contract completed within the previous 18 months.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with charge nurse responsibilities; precepting experience.
- Additional Information: This role requires working 1-2 of the upcoming holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) unless the unit is closed. Flexibility to extend beyond the initial 13-week contract is desired. The position involves floating across all campuses, including Iowa Methodist Medical Center and Iowa Lutheran Hospital.
