Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) Nurse Short Term Acute Care, Level II Trauma Center, Various Location. This position involves providing specialized care for neurology and neurosurgical patients, including post-surgical care and management of various neurological diagnoses. The role requires proficiency with the NIH Stroke Scale and experience in neuro patient care, primarily on the day shift.
Job Details
- Position Description: Job ID 3471664 Seeking experienced neuro care nurses to support a busy neurology/neurosurgical unit. The RN will float between units as needed and deliver personalized patient care in a fast-paced environment.
- Required Qualifications: 1 year of experience, ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale certification, proficient in BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tubes, neuro procedures, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, telemetry, post neurosurgery care, procedural sedation, spinal injury, traumatic brain injury, and electronic fetal heart monitoring.
- Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting 11/02/2026 through 02/01/2027.
- Additional Information: Candidates must have neuro experience, be comfortable with the NIH Stroke Scale, and proficient at caring for post-surgical neurology patients and other neurology diagnoses. The unit is designated as a stroke center and Level 3 Epilepsy Center, with a designated stroke unit. Candidates should be willing to work the specified schedule, including every other weekend and three of five specific holidays.
- Submission Requirements: Must include responses to questions regarding prior experience at a Providence facility, along with two references covering 1 year (or 6 months for CNAs) within the last 3 years, prior to start date.
