Travel Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift Contract in Baltimore, Maryland

Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,710–$1,800
• Location: Baltimore, Maryland
• Healthcare Setting: Emergency department boarder/ASU area with Med/Surg Tele support
• Start Date: October 27, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks, through January 26, 2027
• Nursing Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour night shifts
• Shift Hours: 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Weekend, Holiday, and Call Requirements: None
• Orientation: 28 hours

Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Maryland or a valid compact RN license
• At least 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele or comparable acute-care nursing experience
• Previous travel nursing experience, including completion of at least one travel assignment
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• NIHSS certification as required for the assignment
• Successful completion of the EKG rhythm interpretation assessment with a minimum overall score of 80% and a 100% score on lethal rhythms
• Strong telemetry interpretation and cardiac rhythm recognition skills
• Cerner experience preferred
• Ability to float to Med/Surg Tele units as needed
• Ability to meet applicable health screening, vaccination, and onboarding requirements

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to patients boarding in the emergency department or ASU area
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, promptly identifying and escalating changes in patient condition
• Complete comprehensive patient assessments, medication administration, treatments, and timely clinical documentation
• Collaborate with emergency, medical-surgical, telemetry, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
• Prioritize care for multiple patients in a dynamic, high-acuity acute-care environment
• Float to Med/Surg Tele units when needed while maintaining quality and continuity of care
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge planning
• Support patient safety, infection prevention, and organizational standards throughout each shift
