Job Summary
The organization is seeking a qualified Medical Surgical Telemetry (MS TELE) Nurse for a facility in Tyler, Texas. This position involves providing care to adult and geriatric patients, utilizing advanced telemetry skills and working within a specialized unit. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to patient recovery and safety through proficient clinical practice.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid state or compact license, minimum 2 years of nursing experience including medical-surgical and telemetry, proficiency in accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, IV management, wound care, and use of rapid response teams.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with trauma levels I or II, community hospital experience, and previous travel experience.
- Float: Float rotation to units of equal acuity may be required.
- Additional Information: The unit has 36 beds, with a patient ratio of 6 patients per nurse during nights. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and social services. Onboarding requires completion of core items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing; orientation modules are completed onsite during orientation. Candidates must ensure compliance with specific travel and licensure rules.
