Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) nurse position is available in an acute care facility. This role involves providing specialized care for adult and geriatric patients, with a focus on medical-surgical and telemetry units, in a hospital setting.
Job Details
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Education & Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in medical-surgical nursing with telemetry; at least 2 years of professional nursing experience preferred
- Location Requirements: State or compact license must be in hand at time of submittal; out-of-state candidates must hold a valid license in the applicable licensing jurisdiction
- Shift & Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week, starting 11/03/2026 and ending 02/02/2027
- Required Skills: Accessing/Managing Ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, Blood Product Administration, Cardiac Telemetry, Central line care/management, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), ER Holding, Feeding tube care and management, Heparin Protocols, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, Management of dysrhythmias, MS/Tele, Nasal Cannula, Oxygen administration, PCA*, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Post MI*, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath*, Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery*, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure, Spinal cord injury*, Starting and maintaining IVs, Surgical drains*, Telemetry, Tracheostomy care/management*, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams*, Wound Care/Wound Vac
- Additional Information: Float rotation may be required to units of equal acuity; UT does not contract travelers residing in specified counties; all license and onboarding requirements must be completed within designated time frames; orientation involves non-billable module hours completed onsite.
