Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,370–$2,500
• Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin, with travel throughout the surrounding service area
• Start Date: November 2, 2026
• Contract: 13 weeks, through January 30, 2027
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts, generally 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., with flexibility in start and end times as needed
• Weekend Rotation: Approximately every fifth weekend
• On-Call: Limited rotation, potentially about once every other week; primarily telephone triage with additional visits determined by patient needs
• Travel: Approximately 4.5 home health visits per day and an average of 50–100 miles per day depending on territory, census, and staffing needs
• Additional Information: Mileage reimbursement provided; occasional support of other territories may be required

Home Health Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of professional Registered Nurse experience required
• Two or more years of home health nursing experience strongly preferred
• Current Wisconsin or compact Registered Nurse license
• Current AHA or ARC ABLS certification
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned service area
• Bachelor's degree required
• EPIC electronic medical record and OASIS experience strongly preferred; OASIS training may be available
• Strong time-management, communication, organization, and independent decision-making skills
• Compassionate, dependable, resilient, accountable, and comfortable managing change

Home Health RN Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to patients in their homes across the assigned Rhinelander and Northwoods territory
• Complete OASIS admissions, reassessments, all required time points, and episode management
• Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care with patients, families, providers, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Manage patients with chronic conditions and respond promptly to changes in clinical status
• Deliver care involving wounds, IV therapy, ports, laboratory draws, catheter troubleshooting, and other home health needs within demonstrated competency
• Communicate with physicians and other providers regarding patient progress, orders, symptoms, and plan-of-care changes
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
• Participate in weekend coverage and limited on-call triage, returning answering-service calls within the required response window
• Float to other nearby territories when needed to support patient care and team coverage
