Schedule & Pay:
- NBO: 16 hours
- EMR: EPIC
- OT/Holiday Pay: 1.15x multiplier
- Call Back Pay: 1.5x multiplier (2 hour minimum)
- On Call Pay: $9/hr
- Charge/Precept: $6/hr
- OT Billable:
- 36-40 hrs/week: OT after 40 hrs
- 48 hrs/week: OT after 48 hrs
Requirements:
- Experience:
- 2+ years Med Surg and/or Oncology (required)
- High-acuity care (preferred)
- Drips: Heparin, PCA, epidural (required), Chemo (if certified)
- First-time travelers accepted; travel experience preferred
- Certifications (Required):
- BLS (AHA/ARC/US Military)
- ACLS (AHA/ARC/US Military)
- NIHSS (can be obtained during onboarding)
- License:
- Active Iowa RN license or Compact License
- Documents:
- Work history
- Skills checklist (Med Surg specific)
- 1 supervisory reference (within last 2 years)
- Driver’s license
- Floating: May float within same discipline/campuses
- Employee Policy: Former UPH FTE/PRN employees not eligible if employed in last 12 months
- Local Rule: Must live 50+ miles from facility (verified by driver’s license)
Orientation & Holidays:
- Orientation Dates: 10/26, 11/9
- Holiday Requirement: Must work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day); only 1 day off allowed between 11/25-11/29 and 12/23-12/27
