Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for a 10-week contract. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating exceptional skills in medical and surgical nursing.
Shift Details
- Shift: 4x12s, Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
- Ratios: 1:6-7 (Flexible to 1:7 if unplanned absences occur)
- Weekend Requirement: Yes, every other weekend
Job Responsibilities
- Deliver effective nursing care to patients on the Medical-Surgical unit.
- Monitor patient conditions, perform assessments, and implement care plans.
- Administer medication and treatments as prescribed.
- Participate in patient education and support for families.
- Float within scope to meet facility needs as required.
Qualifications
- Experience: Preferred 2 years of nursing experience in Medical-Surgical settings.
- Licensure: Current South Carolina RN license or Compact RN license required prior to start.
- Certifications Required: BLS Certification.
- Certifications Preferred: ACLS, NIHSS.
- Special Requirements: Experience with Epic electronic health record system.
- Skills: Proficiency in Med/Surg, MS/Tele, Telemetry, Insulin management, and Rapid Response protocols.
Miscellaneous Information
- Guaranteed Hours: The facility may call off one shift per two weeks.
- Parking: Free parking available on-site.
- Hurricane Season: Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams.
