Med Ninjas is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Sioux City, Iowa.

Job Summary (List Format):
- Role: Interdisciplinary team member providing and managing patient care (traveler/contract RN)
- Orientation: 16 hours (NBO), start dates 10/26 or 11/9
- EMR: EPIC
- Pay Details:
- OT/Holiday: 1.15x pay
- Call Back: 1.5x pay, 2-hour minimum
- On Call: $9/hr
- Charge/Precept: $6/hr
- OT billable after 40 hours (if scheduled 36-40/wk) or after 48 hours (if scheduled 48/wk)
- Work Schedule:
- Required to work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day)
- Only 1 day off allowed during 11/25-11/29 and 12/23-12/27
- Unit Details:
- Patient Ratio: 6:1
- Must float to other med-surg units as needed
- Patient types: Neuro/Ortho, MedSurg
- Scrub color: Navy Blue
- Submission/Eligibility Requirements:
- Minimum 1.5 years experience (required)
- Experience with Heparin (required)
- First-time travelers accepted
- Must be willing to float within discipline across local campuses
- No local candidates (must live 50+ miles away)
- Must not have worked as FTE or PRN at UPH in the last 12 months
- Documentation Required for Profile:
- Relevant work history
- Med Surg/Tele skills checklist (required)
- 1 supervisory reference within last 2 years (required)
- Active Iowa or compact RN license (required)
- Active BLS certification (AHA preferred; ARC/US Military accepted)
- Active NIHSS certification (required)
- Driver’s license
- Facility: UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s, Sioux City (Level 3 Trauma Center)
- Certifications Required: BLS, NIHSS
- State License Requirements: Iowa or Compact
